Our Journey with CheckMate.
Eighteen years ago, my oldest school friend and I founded Early Years Catering. As parents ourselves, we understood the importance of ensuring that every meal served in early years was prepared with the highest standards of safety and care.
We worked with some friends to develop systems to streamline our operations.
One of our most significant innovations was a food safety system that allowed us to check off tasks, record temperatures, and adhere strictly to food safety regulations. This system not only improved our kitchen operations but also ensured that we were consistently achieving full marks in our EHO inspections.
After four years of successfully using this system within our own kitchens…
…we saw the potential to help other nurseries and early years settings achieve the same level of safety and compliance. That’s when we decided to take our system to the next level by developing it into an easy-to-use app – CheckMate
